Why Partner
We're a nonprofit dedicated to increasing access to and diversity within martial arts. We partner directly with gyms — not with individual students — to fund memberships for people who face financial or cultural barriers to training. In exchange, gyms grow their community, fill open mat space, and put their values into practice.
How the Partnership Works
We fund
We contribute directly to your gym on an agreed schedule to fund participant memberships.
You match
For every dollar we fund, your gym commits a matching value in membership — at your standard published rate — so funding goes twice as far.
Members join as equals
Funded participants are full members on equal terms with everyone else, with no visible distinction in access, treatment, or standing.
What We Ask of Partner Gyms
- Select funded participants using our eligibility criteria — financial need, underrepresentation in martial arts, or both — with discretion over specific individuals
- Provide matching membership value equal to the funding received
- Brief coaching staff on the partnership and our Code of Conduct
- Uphold the Code of Conduct across your full gym community — athletes, coaches, staff, parents, and visitors
- Share basic monthly attendance and match-tracking data for funded participants
